1. Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 Compliance

MG Law Tech adheres strictly to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India). As a Data Fiduciary, we process your personal and legal data solely for providing legal AI research, document drafting, and advocate marketplace connections.

  • Consent is explicitly obtained prior to collecting any personal data.
  • Data Minimization: We only collect information strictly necessary for legal workflow processing.
  • Data Principal Rights: You retain the right to withdraw consent and request complete erasure at any time.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three categories to deliver our services effectively:

Account & Verification Data:Full name, email address, phone number, Bar Council enrollment number (for advocates), and firm affiliation.
Legal Document & Case Data:PDFs, DOCX files, court petition drafts, and query inputs submitted to our DeepSeek legal AI assistant.
Technical & Telemetry Data:IP addresses, browser details, session tokens, and transaction logs processed through Razorpay.

3. How Your Data is Used

Your information is processed strictly to provide legal assistance tools. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your legal data to any third-party advertisers or data brokers.

4. Attorney-Client Confidentiality

All interactions between advocates and clients on MG Law Tech are privileged communications under Section 126 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 and Rule 39 of the Bar Council of India Rules. Data is end-to-end encrypted to prevent unauthorized third-party disclosure.

5. Encryption & Data Retention

We employ SSL/TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Backup snapshots are stored in ISO 27001-certified Indian datacenters. Active case files are retained for the duration of your account subscription and permanently purged 30 days after account deletion.
